Candy Man

Hello again!  Welcome to The Soundbox! I’m your host Candace Sessums. September 22 is National States and Capitals Day.  In case you didn’t know, I’m a proud Texan, so I decided that in honor of States and Capitals Day, I would plan an episode of Tales of the Texas Rangers.  This series based each episode on an actual event from the casefiles of the Texas Rangers.  One of the consultants on the show was Ranger Lone Wolf Gonzales who was a Ranger during the same time period as Frank Hamer.  This episode called “Candy Man” tells the story of a prison break from April 14, 1947.
